Jeanna and Jacob
Posted in weddings on July 28, 2014
It was such a honor to be able to witness this family become one! I first met them last summer when a friend reached out to me to photograph a special event for them. Which was awesome, of course. And then through the power of social media, I’ve been able to continue to follow their story – the good times……the not so good times. But what I do know is that they have been looking forward to a special day for a while now – July 14th, 2014. The day they became a family.
Up in the mountains just past Glenwood Springs…..you go south. And then you can decide to turn to go to Aspen or go the other way – which will take you to a town called Redstone. You would totally miss it cause you can’t really see it from the road….even though it’s right on the road! Instead of a big tourist town, it’s quiet and calm and full of history! And Jeanna and Jacob, along with their children, got married here – at the Church at Redstone. And there was a ring ninja.
From Jeanna : Looking back, it is plain to see, that our union was written in the stars. 5 years ago, our children became best friends and throughout their relationship, our paths never crossed. Then we had both reached a point in our lives the God decided was right, and our worlds collided. On July 14, 2010, Ella was diagnosed with a rare and deadly cancer which would draw us all together forever. On July 14, 2012, we all ended up at the same birthday party and have never left each other’s side since that day. So it is only fitting that July 14, 2014 would be the day that we would all vow before God to love, respect and support each other for all of eternity.
I loved being a part of this day! And I pray that this family has BLESSING just poured upon them!
